TADL is a scalable warranty solution. Not every customer has the same support requirements or wishes to purchase gold plated cover on day one. The unknown factor of whether or not the equipment will still be in use in 4 or 5 years time, makes a large up front warranty investment (typically between 20% & 40% of the new value) unattractive.
